Job summary

Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Nursing Associate/Assistant Practitioner to work with the Registered Nurse and MDT to provide holistic care to children with complex medical needs across clinics and outpatient settings.

You will perform nursing activities under supervision, record vital signs, obtain bloods and ECGs, and maintain contemporaneous patient records. A 5‑day service with emphasis on family-centered care is expected.

Qualifications

• Familiar with NMC Code of Professional Standards.
• Experience with plaster room procedures.
• Ability to work under supervision of Registered Nurses.

Responsibilities

• Work with Registered Nurse and multidisciplinary team to provide holistic care.
• Provide nursing care to children with complex medical needs in clinics and outpatient settings.
• Record and interpret vital signs, obtain bloods, and perform ECGs.
• Maintain accurate patient records in line with trust policy.
• Engage with MDT for safe, individualized care for children and young people.
• Support families to improve physical and mental wellbeing.
