Job summary

NHS Ayrshire & Arran is recruiting an Immunisation Staff Nurse for the Children’s Health Team based at North Ayr Health Centre. The role involves delivering immunisation services across GP premises, community and educational settings, with lone working and travel within the locality.

You will provide high-quality nursing care and advice to children, young people and their parents/carers as part of a multidisciplinary team within South Ayrshire Health and Social Care Partnership.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with current practicing entitlement.
• Driving licence and access to a car is required.
• Relevant experience in immunisation or public health is advantageous.
• Demonstrated communication skills with patients and families.
• Ability to organise workload and motivate others.
• Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team promoting integrated nursing approaches.
• Experience of working with children and families.
• Community experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Immunisation services in GP premises, community and educational settings.
