Job summary

NHS Scotland is seeking a permanent Immunisation Staff Nurse to join the Children’s Health Team based at North Ayr Health Centre. The role involves delivering immunisation services across GP premises, community settings and educational establishments, aligned with public health priorities.

You will work with children and families, provide nursing support and advise, and may travel within the locality with occasional lone working and flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current registration
• Full driving licence and access to a car
• Experience in nursing, preferably with children and families
• Strong communication skills
• Organisational and motivational skills
• Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team
• Community health experience desired

Responsibilities

• Deliver immunisation services in GP premises, community and schools
• Provide high quality nursing care and advice to children and families
• Work as part of the Children and Families Health Team with possible lone working
• Travel within locality and flexible hours as required
