Job summary

Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a clinical nurse specialist for the gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition team, focusing on inflammatory bowel disease in children and young people. You will lead nursing care, provide expert education, and influence service development within a supportive, family-centred environment.

The role emphasises strong communication, organisational skills, and collaboration with professional groups to enhance care pathways and outcomes

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with current practice
• Degree in nursing or related field
• Teaching/Assessing/ Mentoring module desirable

Responsibilities

• Assess, develop and implement specialist nursing care for paediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition.
• Provide specialist advice and education to staff and students.
• Lead and contribute to audits and research in the specialty.
• Coordinate integrated patient care with multidisciplinary teams.
• Support service development and future expansion of Children’s Services.
