Job summary

Martin-Baker Aircraft Company Ltd, based in Chalgrove, Oxfordshire, seeks a PED Team Leader to lead a manufacturing unit producing pyrotechnic devices for ejection seats. You will line manage the PED team, ensuring safe, compliant operations and effective workload planning.

You will drive performance, training, and engagement while upholding high standards and company values in a globally impactful aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• University education with an engineering degree.
• Proven experience managing 10+ staff in a technical assembly environment.
• Knowledge of explosives / pyro products and related safety standards.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and work under pressure.
• Commitment to Martin-Baker values.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the PED team, align workloads with KPIs.
• Ensure health and safety responsibilities comply with guidelines.
• Manage training, performance, tooling, packaging and compliance.
• Oversee production engineering processes, quality and corrective actions.
• Plan workloads and utilise resources to meet deadlines.
