Job summary

Pertemps Royal Mail is seeking a proactive Contract Consultant to support our Cardiff Outhouse Mail Centre during the peak season. You will handle recruitment, workforce planning and onsite worker queries to meet staffing needs and deliver a positive experience for both client and temporary workforce.

The role requires experience in recruitment or workforce planning, strong organisational and communication skills, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience in recruitment or workforce planning is required.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
• Excellent attention to detail and compliance.
• Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Advertising vacancies and attracting suitable candidates.
• Screening and selecting candidates in line with client and legal requirements.
• Managing candidate onboarding, including registrations, inductions and compliance checks, ensuring all candidates meet legal, compliance and contractual requirements, including Right to Work verification.
• Allocating shifts and managing workforce schedules to meet operational demands, proactively planning staffing levels while responding effectively to changing business needs and last-minute requirements.
• Monitoring attendance, absence and worker performance.
• Building strong relationships with Royal Mail managers and temporary workers.
• Providing onsite support and resolving workforce issues effectively, escalating worker queries as needed.
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with Pertemps and client procedures.
