Job summary

Pertemps is recruiting for a Contract Consultant to support Royal Mail operations at Cardiff Outhouse Mail Centre during the peak season. This on-site, fixed-term role is 40 hours per week with a flexible rota, including weekends, and a salary up to £35,000 per annum pro rata.

The role combines recruitment, workforce planning and onsite worker query management to ensure staffing needs are met and a positive experience is delivered to both the client and temporary workforce.

Qualifications

• Previous recruitment or workforce planning experience is required.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to compliance.
• Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Advertise vacancies and attract suitable candidates.
• Screen and select candidates in line with client and legal requirements.
• Onboard and register candidates, ensure compliance checks and Right to Work verification.
• Allocate shifts and manage workforce schedules to meet operational demands.
• Monitor attendance, absence and worker performance.
• Build relationships with Royal Mail managers and temporary workers.
• Provide onsite support and resolve workforce issues, escalating queries as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with Pertemps and client procedures.
