Job summary

GSL Education South Yorkshire are collaborating with active schools in Barnsley to recruit a passionate PE Teacher. You will deliver engaging PE lessons across a range of sports, encouraging teamwork, fitness, and healthy living, while making lessons inclusive for all abilities.

The role requires Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, previous PE teaching experience, and a strong knowledge of the PE curriculum.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential
• Previous experience teaching PE within a school or similar setting
• Good knowledge of the PE curriculum and a variety of sports
• Confidence leading practical activities indoors and outdoors
• Strong communication, organisation, and classroom management skills
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)

Pay Rate: Up to £220 per day (depending on experience)

GSL Education South Yorkshire Branch are working with active schools in Barnsley to find enthusiastic and motivated Physical Education Teacher. We welcome qualified educators who can deliver enjoyable and inclusive lessons, introduce learners to a range of sports, and encourage positive attitudes towards fitness and healthy living.

The PE Teacher delivers engaging physical education lessons that help students improve their sporting skills, fitness, teamwork, and understanding of healthy lifestyles.

PE Teacher Responsibilities:
