Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking a passionate PE Teacher to inspire students across all Key Stages at a welcoming secondary school in Sheffield. The role covers both practical and theory PE, with a focus on high standards of behaviour and active participation.

Opportunities exist for day-to-day, long-term or permanent postings starting September 2026, with a competitive daily rate of £160–£220 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• QTS with a PE specialism (ECTs welcome).
• Experience teaching PE across Key Stages 3-5.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management.

Salary: £160 - £220 per day (depending on experience)

Rated 'Good' by OFSTED, the school has a supportive leadership team, excellent sporting facilities and is committed to providing students with a positive and inclusive learning environment where they can achieve their full potential.

The school is looking to appoint a dedicated PE Teacher from September. Opportunities are available on a full-time day-to-day, long-term or permanent basis, teaching Physical Education across all Key Stages. The successful PE Teacher will be expected to deliver engaging practical and theory lessons, maintain high standards of behaviour and contribute positively to the wider school community.

The successful PE Teacher will have:

• QTS with a PE specialism (ECTs are also welcome to apply)
• Experience teaching PE across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
• A passion for promoting health, fitness and participation in sport
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A positive, proactive and adaptable approach
