An Ofsted-rated Good secondary school in Wolverhampton is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Female PE Teacher to join its successful Physical Education department from September 2026 on a full-time, long-term supply basis.
The successful candidate will teach Physical Education across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging and inclusive lessons that promote physical fitness, teamwork, resilience, and healthy lifestyles. You will inspire students to develop confidence in a wide range of sporting activities while encouraging participation, personal achievement, and a lifelong appreciation for physical activity.
Working within a supportive PE department, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality practical and theoretical lessons, assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining a safe and positive learning environment. You may also have the opportunity to contribute to the school's extracurricular sports programme, including clubs, fixtures, and enrichment activities.
This role is open to female applicants only, where being female is considered an occupational requirement in accordance with Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010.
The successful candidate will:
- Hold QTS or be an ECT
- Have experience teaching Physical Education across KS3 and KS4
- Be confident delivering a broad PE curriculum, including practical and theory lessons
- Demonstrate excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- Be committed to promoting student wellbeing, participation, and achievement
- Have a genuine passion for sport, physical education, and inspiring young people to lead active lifestyles
