Job description

Full-Time PE Teacher Required - Secondary School in Salford

A vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Salford is looking to appoint a dedicated PE Teacher to join their staff team immediately. This is a brilliant opportunity for a motivated and dynamic PE specialist to secure a full-time teaching role in a supportive school environment.

As a PE Teacher, you'll play an active role in delivering a broad and engaging Physical Education curriculum to pupils aged 11-16. You'll be responsible for both practical and theory lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, and will be encouraged to contribute to the school's thriving extracurricular sports programme.

Responsibilities:
  • Teaching PE lessons to a range of abilities across KS3 and KS4
  • Planning creative, active sessions that inspire and challenge pupils
  • Assessing and tracking pupil progress effectively
  • Taking part in after-school clubs, sports events and inter-school fixtures
  • Upholding strong behaviour management and fostering positive relationships with students
Minimum Requirements:
  • A fully qualified PE Teacher with UK QTS (Secondary)
  • Someone with a genuine enthusiasm for Physical Education and sport
  • Strong behaviour management and organisational skills
  • A confident communicator who thrives working as part of a team
  • Available for a full-time position starting immediately
