Job description

Physical Education (PE) Teacher – Manchester

Pay Rate: £150 – £200 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Location: Manchester

Elevate Supply is proud to be working in partnership with a well-regarded secondary school in North Manchester to recruit a dynamic and motivated PE Teacher. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking and inclusive school community that values the importance of physical education in developing student wellbeing, confidence, and teamwork.

The successful candidate will deliver a broad and engaging PE curriculum to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. This role is to commence as soon as possible and will run until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver high-quality PE lessons across KS3 and KS4 in line with the national curriculum

Promote health, fitness, and a positive sporting ethos across the school

Prepare and support students for practical assessments and written elements of PE qualifications

Encourage participation in extracurricular sports and school teams

Create an inclusive and engaging learning environment that promotes teamwork, resilience, and discipline

Monitor student progress and contribute to departmental planning and development

Support the organisation of sporting events and fixtures

Candidate Requirements:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Experience teaching PE at the secondary level (KS3 and KS4)

Strong subject knowledge and a passion for physical education and sport

Excellent behaviour management and interpersonal skills

A proactive and energetic approach to teaching and extracurricular involvement

Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
