Job description

We are looking for an energetic, dedicated, and passionate PE Teacher to join the team at a vibrant school. This is a fantastic opportunity to motivate and inspire young people through sport, physical activity, and health education. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a PE Teacher:

  • Teaching PE across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 if applicable) to a high standard

  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons across a variety of sports and physical activities

  • Promoting teamwork, leadership, resilience and healthy lifestyles through sport

  • Contributing to the development of a broad and inclusive PE curriculum

  • Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback

  • Organising and supporting extra-curricular clubs, school teams, and inter-school fixtures

  • Supporting whole-school health and well-being initiatives

  • Maintaining equipment and ensuring adherence to health and safety procedures

  • Being an active and collaborative member of the PE department and wider school community

Ideal PE Teacher:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent)

  • Has strong subject knowledge and a passion for Physical Education

  • Has experience in teaching a range of sports and fitness activities

  • Is enthusiastic, approachable, and a positive role model for students

  • Demonstrates excellent classroom and behaviour management

  • Is committed to inclusive practice, student engagement, and high standards

  • Is a team player with excellent communication and organisational skills as a PE Teacher.

  • Is willing to contribute to the wider life of the school, including fixtures, trips, and events
