Job summary

Briscoe Primary School & Nursery, part of HEARTS Academy Trust, is seeking a PE Cover Teacher to plan and deliver inclusive PE lessons, provide PPA cover, and monitor standards across the school.

The role includes leading PE development across the Trust, running before/after school clubs and sporting events, and building partnerships to promote pupil participation in sport. The post starts as soon as possible with safeguarding checks required.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher status required.
• Enhanced DBS check including children's barred list.
• Prohibition from teaching check and references meeting KCSIE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead PE across the Trust and develop the PE curriculum.
• Plan, develop and deliver inclusive PE lessons across the school.
• Provide PPA cover and lead extra-curricular sports provision.
• Monitor and raise standards in PE across the school.
• Organise and deliver sport-related events and partnerships within the Trust.

Job description

PE Cover Teacher post at Briscoe Primary School & Nursery, one of six schools in HEARTS Academy Trust. The work centres on PPA cover, planning and delivering inclusive PE lessons, and monitoring standards across the school, plus running before and after school clubs and sporting events. Trust-wide PE subject leadership sits alongside a four-day, face-to-face teaching week on an 80/20 model. Visa sponsorship is not available and the post starts as soon as possible.
