Job summary

Newstone Talent Solutions in London is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead the finance function of a private equity backed SME, guiding growth and value creation ahead of an exit. You will work closely with the CEO and investors to shape financial strategy, drive governance and deliver robust reporting.

Reporting to the CEO, the CFO will oversee FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and capital raising, while building a high performing finance team and ensuring timely

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified with strong audit background.
• Experience as CFO or senior finance leader in PE-backed SME.
• Proven exit track record with involvement in due diligence.
• Extensive FP&A, forecasting, budgeting and commercial analysis.
• Strong group reporting, consolidation, controls and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead group finance with reporting, consolidation and governance.
• Drive FP&A: budgeting, forecasting, modelling and cash flow.
• Provide robust financial insights to support strategic decisions.
• Strengthen controls, reporting processes and governance.
• Develop and deliver financial strategies for growth and value creation.
• Lead capital raising and investor engagement.
• Collaborate with CEO, PE investors and stakeholders on planning.
• Oversee exit readiness, due diligence and data room prep.
• Manage cash flow, working capital and debt management.
• Build and develop a high performing finance team.
