Qualifications

Job description

Job Opportunity: Used Vehicle Reconditioner

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a conscientious and enthusiastic individual to join our multi award-winning Used Vehicle Sales Team at the Middlewich Depot as a PDI Used Vehicle Reconditioner. The role is Monday to Friday, from 8am to 4.30pm.

Reporting to the Used Vehicle Manager, the main responsibilities include carrying out mechanical repairs on vehicles to the highest standards for the Used Truck Sales department, as well as maintaining the department's tooling and equipment.

A key focus of the role is to maintain regular communication with the PDI Team Supervisor to discuss workload, defect management, repair scheduling, and MOT test slot management.

Additional duties involve preparing vehicles for MOT, quality control, completing all associated paperwork for sold trucks, ensuring repairs meet high standards, managing on-site vehicle movements, and assisting with steam cleaning and valeting as required.

Candidate Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
  • Be confident and well-organized
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full and current driving license; an HGV license is preferred
  • Basic mechanical, valeting skills, and minor repair experience
Additional Beneficial Skills:
  • Previous industry experience in a similar role
  • Forklift license (FLT) is preferred but not essential
