Job summary

Motorpoint, the UK’s leading omnichannel car retailer, invites applications for a PDI Technician in Birmingham. You will service, inspect, and road-test vehicles to ensure they meet our quality benchmarks before handover, while maintaining high safety and team standards.

The role is permanent, with weekend rotation and 42.5 hours per week. We offer a competitive hourly rate of £14.65 plus bonus, with plenty of development and training opportunities, including EV qualifications.

Qualifications

• A full UK driving licence is essential.
• A minimum Level 2 motor trade qualification.
• EV qualification is desirable – training provided.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to spot issues during inspections.
• Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines.
• A team player who can also work independently.
• Motivation to meet performance goals and uphold quality standards.
• Organised and efficient in managing workload and priorities.
• Commitment to safety and maintaining a tidy workspace.
• Willingness to support other sites when needed.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards.
• Inspect vehicles and diagnose faults to meet quality benchmarks.
• Follow PDI process, including road tests, to ensure readiness for handover.
• Complete documentation accurately and support vehicle movements as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace and collaborate with colleagues across departments.
• Champion health and safety and contribute to a positive team culture.
• Carry out any other ad hoc tasks as required.
