Job summary

Motorpoint in Swansea is seeking a PDI Technician to ensure vehicles are mechanically prepared for handover. You will perform servicing, diagnostics and road tests to meet Motorpoint’s quality standards, while documenting work and supporting vehicle movements.

The role requires a full UK driving licence, Level 2 motor trade qualification, and the ability to work within a team on a 42.5-hour rota, including weekends. EV qualification is a plus.

Qualifications

• A full UK driving licence is essential.
• A minimum Level 2 motor trade qualification.
• EV qualification is desirable – training provided if needed.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to spot issues during inspections.
• Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Team player who can also work independently.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards.
• Inspect vehicles and diagnose faults to meet quality benchmarks.
• Follow the PDI process, including road tests, to ensure readiness for handover.
• Complete documentation accurately and support vehicle movements as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace and collaborate with colleagues across departments.
• Champion health and safety and contribute to a positive team culture.
• Carry out any other ad hoc tasks as required.
