Job summary

Octane Recruitment Limited is seeking a PDI Technician in Hull to inspect, service and prepare fleet and customer vehicles. The role requires Level 2/3 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualifications and hands-on experience with PDIs and basic servicing.

You will work a 45-hour week on a rota that includes weekends, with strong earning potential through bonuses and overtime. You will be part of a busy aftersales team, ensuring every vehicle is safe and ready for handover, while maintaining accurate

Qualifications

• Recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (IMI/City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Previous experience as a Technician/Mechanic, exposure to PDIs and basic service work is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Pre Delivery Inspections on fleet and customer vehicles to required standard.
• Complete basic maintenance tasks including oil and filter changes.
• Ensure vehicles are safe, compliant and ready for delivery.
• Complete digital write-ups, job cards and workshop records using iPads and internal systems.
• Follow workshop processes to maintain safety, quality and efficiency.
• Support the wider aftersales team to aid handover and productivity.

PDI Technician role for a Level 2 or Level 3 qualified Technician / Mechanic, working within a busy aftersales team carrying out Pre Delivery Inspections, basic maintenance, and vehicle preparation work to ensure fleet and customer vehicles are safe, compliant, and ready for handover. Pay / salary:Up to £33,038 basic per annum, OTE £36,000 based on time saved and team profit
