Job summary

Peoples Automotive Group in Livingston is seeking a motivated Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) Technician to join our team. You will carry out pre-delivery inspections, ensure roadworthiness, identify faults, and support the workshop and sales teams to have vehicles ready for handover.

We value reliability, attention to detail and a proactive approach. A full UK driving licence is preferred; ongoing training and 30 days annual leave are offered, along with employee discounts and development

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a PDI, vehicle preparation or automotive technician role would be an advantage.
• A good understanding of vehicle checks, maintenance and workshop processes.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high standards of work.
• A reliable, organised and proactive approach.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy dealership environment.
• A full UK driving licence is preferred.
• A positive attitude and a willingness to learn and develop your skills.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles.
• Completing vehicle preparation checks to ensure vehicles are safe, roadworthy and ready for handover.

• Carrying out minor repairs and rectification work where required and within your skill set.
• Ensuring all vehicle preparation work is completed accurately and within agreed timescales.

• Working closely with the workshop and sales teams to ensure vehicles are ready for customer collection on time.
• Following manufacturer guidelines, health and safety procedures and dealership quality standards.
