Job summary

Peoples Automotive Group in Livingston is seeking a motivated Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) Technician to join our team. You will carry out pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles and ensure every car is roadworthy and ready for handover.

You should have attention to detail, a hands-on approach and be able to work with workshop and sales teams to meet deadlines. A full UK driving licence is preferred and ongoing training is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in PDI, vehicle preparation, or automotive technician roles.
• Strong understanding of vehicle checks and workshop processes.
• Attention to detail and commitment to high work standards.

Responsibilities

• Carry out pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles.

Peoples Automotive Group is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) Technician to join our Livingston team.

As our dealerships continue to grow, we're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has a passion for vehicles and understands the importance of preparing every car to the highest standard before it reaches the customer.

What will you be doing?

• Carrying out pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles.
• Completing vehicle preparation checks to ensure vehicles are safe, roadworthy and ready for handover.
• Identifying and reporting any faults, damage or issues that require attention.
• Carrying out minor repairs and rectification work where required and within your skill set.
• Ensuring all vehicle preparation work is completed accurately and within agreed timescales.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Working closely with the workshop and sales teams to ensure vehicles are ready for customer collection on time.
• Following manufacturer guidelines, health and safety procedures and dealership quality standards.

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a PDI, vehicle preparation or automotive technician role would be an advantage.
• A good understanding of vehicle checks, maintenance and workshop processes.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high standards of work.
• A reliable, organised and proactive approach.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy dealership environment.
• A full UK driving licence is preferred.
• A positive attitude and a willingness to learn and develop your skills.
