Job summary

A M Phillip Trucktech Ltd. is seeking a skilled Prep Technician for its Forfar Prep Centre.

The role focuses on high-quality, hands-on pre-delivery inspections and preparation of both new and used vehicles, with an emphasis on practical tasks rather than major engine work. The ideal candidate will be committed to quality workmanship, with experience on cars or light commercial vehicles, and an understanding of auto electrics is a plus but not essential.

Qualifications

• Takes pride in becoming a respected expert in your field through quality, repeatable workmanship.
• Prefers a steady workload without major engine or warranty repairs.
• Knowledge in auto electrics desirable but not essential.
• Previous mechanical experience working on cars or light commercial vehicles (LCVs).

Responsibilities

• Conducting Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) on new vehicles.
• Preparing used vehicles for resale, including basic mechanical checks and repairs.
• Ensuring all work is completed to manufacturer and company standards.
• Supporting the wider workshop team as needed.

We are currently recruiting for a PDI / Prep Technician for ourPrep Centre inForfar

The Role

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a skilled and reliable Prep Technician to join our team. If you take pride in high-quality workmanship, enjoy hands-on tasks, and prefer a role focused on consistent, practical work rather than major engine or warranty repairs, this could be the ideal job for you.
