Job summary

NEOS Engineering is seeking an experienced PDI Technician to support depot operations in Mildenhall. You will carry out pre-delivery inspections on new machinery and prepare equipment for customer delivery.

The role requires strong mechanical knowledge with basic electrical fault-finding, a full UK driving licence, and NVQ level 2/3 in related fields (desirable). The package includes up to £19 per hour and substantial overtime, plus pension, holiday and training.

Qualifications

• Experience as a PDI Technician or in a similar role.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with basic electrical fault-finding.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• NVQ Level 2/3 in related fields is desirable.

Job Title: PDI Technician – Mildenhall – Up to £19.00 per hour plus overtime.

Overview

NEOS Engineering is partnering with a leading construction plant business to bring onboard an experienced PDI Technician to support their depot operations in Mildenhall. This role plays an essential part in ensuring each machine meets the highest standards before delivery.

Responsibilities

• Carry out pre‑delivery inspections (PDI) on new machinery.
• Assemble and prepare new equipment for customer delivery.
• Complete final checks, testing and commissioning.
• Install optional accessories and customer‑specific requirements.
• Diagnose and rectify any faults prior to handover.
• Produce all relevant paperwork and inspection reports.
• Maintain a clean workshop and enforce health & safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a PDI Technician, Workshop Engineer or Plant Fitter.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with basic electrical fault‑finding skills.
• A proactive attitude and keen eye for detail.
• NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Plant Maintenance, Heavy Vehicle, Agricultural Engineering or similar (desirable).
• Full UK Driving Licence.
