Job summary

Arriva Group is seeking a PCV Bus Driver at the Ashington depot. You will drive routes, engage with regular passengers, and ensure safe, timely journeys for commuters and students. A valid PCV licence and clean driving record are essential, with early starts and shifts extending into the evening.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test.

Responsibilities

• Drive PCV buses on assigned routes within the community.
• Build relationships with regular passengers and provide excellent service.
• Keep journeys safe, on time and ensure safe school transport when applicable.

Pay Rate: £14.00 per hour - £16.45 per hour

As a Bus Driver, you’ll build relationships with familiar faces on your routes and even be the highlight of someone’s day. We take pride in the service we provide and the impact we have on the community, and we’re looking for like-minded individuals to join our team.

What We Offer

Pay Rate £14.00 - £16.45 per hour

• Weekdays £16.00 per hour (must have 18 months experience in the last 5 years)
• Weekends £16.45 per hour (must have 18 months experience in the last 5 years)
• Bank Holiday £30 bonus paid per shift
• Qualified drivers with at least 18 months bus driving experience in the last 5 years will start on £16.00 p/h basic, otherwise the starting rate will be £14.00 p/h for 6 months.

Hours Of Work

• 5 out of 7 rotating shift patterns, planned up to 6-8 weeks in advance
• Mornings starting from 05:00 and evenings finishing around 01:30
• Overtime available based on request/availability

What We Need From You
