Job summary

Arriva UK Bus Ltd in Ashington is seeking a PCV Bus Driver to serve the community from the Ashington depot. You will be part of a team keeping our community moving, with shifts that begin early and finish late to suit service requirements.

Hours include five out of seven rotating patterns, with pay rates from £14.00 up to £16.45 per hour (experience-based on weekdays and weekends). We offer annual leave, overtime opportunities, and family bus travel perks.

As a Bus Driver, you'll build relationships with familiar faces on your routes and even be the highlight of someone's day. We take pride in the service we provide and the impact we have on the community, and we're looking for like-minded individuals to join our team.

What We Offer:

• Weekdays £16.00 per hour (must have 18 months experience in the last 5 years)
• Weekends £16.45 per hour (must have 18 months experience in the last 5 years)

*Qualified drivers with at least 18 months bus driving experience in the last 5 years will start on £16.00 p/h basic, otherwise the starting rate will be £14.00 p/h for 6 months.

Hours of Work:

• 5 out of 7 rotating shift patterns, planned up to 6-8 weeks in advance
• Mornings starting from 05:00 and evenings finishing around 01:30
• Overtime available based on request/availability

What We Need From You:

• Flexibility as your shifts will start as early as 4AM in the morning but will always work no later than 1AM depending on the time that you start.
