Job summary

Megger is seeking a motivated Electronics Technician to support board-level assembly, testing and rework of PCBs in our Kent-based manufacturing environment. You will diagnose faults, perform repairs and ensure products meet quality standards, collaborating with Engineering and Quality teams.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in PCB soldering, repair and rework, including SMD and through-hole components.

Responsibilities

• Carry out automated and dedicated testing of PCB assemblies in accordance with test procedures and specifications.
• Diagnose electronic faults at component and board level using schematics, PCB layouts, technical documentation and electronic test equipment.
• Carry out SMD and through-hole soldering, desoldering, component replacement and PCB rework and repairs.
• Use equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies and signal generators to identify and investigate electronic faults.
• Accurately record and log faults using Computer Aided Repair systems and support root-cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Work closely with Engineering and Quality teams to investigate manufacturing and product defects.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company procedures, quality standards and applicable manufacturing requirements.
• Support continuous improvement activities to improve manufacturing efficiency, product quality and reliability.
