Job summary

OnTarget Communications in Chesterfield is seeking a hands-on PCB Design Engineer to develop analogue and digital circuits for industrial products. You will create PCB layouts, select components and collaborate with production teams to move designs toward manufacture.

The role covers prototyping, testing and validation, with a focus on reliability and manufacturability. Familiarity with Altium or KiCad, and the ability to debug hardware issues, will help you see concepts through to production.

Qualifications

• Experience designing electronic circuits and PCBs (hardware).
• Familiar with PCB design tools such as Altium, KiCad or similar.
• Good understanding of analogue and digital electronics.
• Confident debugging and solving hardware issues.
• Able to manage your own work and see designs through from concept to production.

Responsibilities

• Design analogue and digital electronic circuits for industrial products.
• Create PCB layouts, including multi-layer designs.
• Select components and help manage component availability.
• Support prototyping, testing and product validation.
• Work with production teams and external suppliers to bring designs into manufacture.
