Job summary

Platinum Recruitment is seeking a PCB Assembler in Waterlooville for a Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm role within a clean, modern manufacturing environment. This position offers ongoing training and a potential permanent placement.

You will assemble PCB and cable assemblies, perform visual inspections, and work with engineering and quality teams to ensure high-reliability production standards. Immediate start for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Experience in PCB or cable assembly within electronics.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Experience with inspection equipment is a plus.
• IPC certification or similar advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assemble PCB and cable assemblies to drawings and work instructions.
• Carry out visual inspections of completed assemblies.
• Identify soldering faults, wiring discrepancies and defects.
• Use microscopes and measuring equipment for checks.
• Read schematics and bills of materials and document production data.
• Work with Production, Engineering and Quality teams; maintain housekeeping and safety.

Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm – No Weekends & Temp-to-Perm Opportunity

We’re recruiting for a PCB Assembler to join a quality-focused manufacturing team in Waterlooville. You’ll be working on high-reliability electronic assemblies within a clean, modern production environment, with ongoing training & the opportunity to secure a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities

As a PCB Assembler in Waterlooville, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Assembling PCB & cable assemblies to engineering drawings & work instructions

Carrying out visual inspections of completed assemblies

Identifying soldering faults, wiring discrepancies & other assembly defects

Using microscopes, hand tools & measuring equipment

Reading engineering drawings, schematics & bills of materials

Accurately completing production & quality documentation

Working closely with Production, Engineering & Quality teams

Maintaining excellent housekeeping & health & safety standards

What we’re looking for

To be successful in this role, you’ll ideally have:

Previous PCB or cable assembly experience

Experience within an electronics manufacturing environment

Good manual dexterity & soldering experience

Ability to read engineering drawings & wiring diagrams

Excellent attention to detail

Experience using inspection equipment such as microscopes is desirable

IPC certification or similar would be advantageous

A positive attitude & strong team-working skills
