Job summary

Positive Support Group (PSG) is recruiting a Trainee Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to work with children, young people and adults with learning disabilities, autism and related needs. You will deliver assessments and interventions under supervision to improve quality of life for clients and their networks.

Qualifications

• Undergrad degree in Behaviour Analysis or related field, or PBS qualification in progress.
• Registered with UK-SBA as a practicing member or eligible to be.
• Experience with children, young people and/or adults with learning disabilities, autism, or mental health difficulties.

Responsibilities

• Undertake functional behaviour assessments under supervision.
• Write high-quality assessment reports and present findings to clients and network.
• Plan interventions based on assessment findings with support from a supervisor.
• Deliver intervention plans in community or other locations as required.
• Apply behaviour analytic and PBS principles to develop function-based interventions and BSPs.
• Collect data and analyse progress toward goals.
• Train mediators in client BSPs.
• Engage networks to support client goals.
