Job summary

Mirus in Blaenavon is seeking a PBS & Autism Support Worker to help people build relationships, try new things, and participate in their community. A full UK driving license is required to perform outreach and travel between services.

The role offers funded QCF Level 2 Health and Social Care training, generous mileage reimbursement, enhanced sleep-in/wake-in pay, and a structured development programme. 20 days of annual leave plus bank holidays, with progression to 29 days, and a Cycle to Work

We have an exciting opportunity for a PBS & Autism Support Worker to join our dedicated team in Blaeavon. In this role, you will support people to build relationships, try new things, and feel part of their community - so that they can live good lives.

You will need to hold a full UK driving license for this role.

What You'll Do

As a Support Worker, you will:

  • Support people to do the things they enjoy, try new experiences, and live good lives.
  • Assist with household tasks, shopping, meal preparation, personal care, and maintaining routines.
  • Encourage and support people to strengthen relationships with family, friends, and their community.
  • Work alongside professionals such as social workers, nurses, and occupational therapists to ensure people receive the best support.
  • Listen to the people you support and support them to make choices about their lives.
