Job summary

Established Firm of Accountants in Reading is seeking a highly organised Payroll Supervisor to take full, sole-charge responsibility for end-to-end payroll services for about 70-80 client payrolls. The successful candidate will ensure accuracy, compliance, and exceptional client service.

You will oversee payroll processing, RTI submissions, pension schemes, and liaise with HMRC and clients, with a focus on deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a sole-charge payroll position.
• Experience handling high-volume, multi-frequency payrolls.
• Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, HMRC processes and Auto-Enrolment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full end-to-end processing of c.80 payrolls (monthly, weekly, fortnightly).
• Ensure all payrolls are accurate and met deadlines.
• Submit RTI information to HMRC.
• Manage workplace pension schemes and enrolments.
