Job summary

Stannah Group is hiring a Payroll Supervisor to deliver accurate, compliant payroll across the group and to drive improvements in processes, systems, controls and data quality. You will work with Finance, HR, Tax, IT and external providers to ensure on‑time payments and robust governance.

The role requires strong end-to-end payroll experience, expert knowledge of UK payroll legislation, and excellent Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing the end-to-end payroll process.
• Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, PAYE, National Insurance and pensions.
• Experience leading or supporting a payroll team and meeting tight deadlines.
• Excellent Excel, payroll systems and data analysis skills.

We're looking for an experienced Payroll Supervisor to join our team and play a key role in delivering an accurate, compliant, and employee-focused payroll service across the Group. This is more than a traditional payroll position; it's an opportunity to help develop and enhance our payroll function, driving improvements in processes, systems, controls, and data quality.

Working closely with Finance, HR, Tax, IT, business stakeholders, and external payroll providers, you'll ensure employees are paid correctly and on time while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and governance. You'll be someone who enjoys identifying efficiencies, solving problems, and making a real impact on how payroll services are delivered.

We're looking for a payroll professional with strong end-to-end payroll experience, an excellent understanding of UK payroll legislation, and strong Excel skills. You'll be confident analysing large volumes of data, spotting trends and exceptions, and using insight to support decision-making and continuous improvement. If you're proactive, highly organised, and passionate about developing both people and processes, we'd love to hear from you.

Working hours: Monday to Thursday 08:30 - 17:15 and Friday 08:30 - 13:30.
