Job summary

Yorkshire Building Society is seeking a Payroll Specialist within our People Services Team on a 12 month FTC. You will manage end-to-end payroll processing for colleagues, ensure accuracy of salaries, pensions and benefits, and act as a SME on payroll policy and HMRC compliance.

This role offers hybrid working and an opportunity to contribute to a progressive payroll program while supporting self-service payroll capabilities across the business.

Qualifications

• Experience with end-to-end payroll processing.
• Knowledge of payroll legislation and best practices.
• Experience with pensions, HMRC and statutory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Process accurate and timely payroll for all colleagues including reconciliation of salaries, pensions and benefits GLs.
• Provide SME support for payroll policy escalations and ensure compliance with policy and legislation.
• Deliver monthly payroll processing and reconciliations, submissions to HMRC and third-party providers, year-end activities (P60, P11D).
• Complete monthly FPS submissions, issue payslips and P45s, manage auto-enrolment duties and upload pension contributions.
• Respond promptly to payroll and pension escalations to maintain a great colleague experience.
