Job summary

Co-op in Manchester is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join the hybrid team. The role is a 12-month fixed-term contract, full-time (37.5 hours per week) with a salary of £25,430 to £29,000.

The position involves processing payroll data in Oracle Fusion, handling starters/leavers/absences, and ensuring accuracy under tight deadlines. You will work in a busy, high-volume payroll operation supporting around 55,000 colleagues and pensioners.

Qualifications

  • Previous payroll experience with the ability to confidently complete manual calculations.
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • The ability to confidently use Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Good team working skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with others but also to work autonomously with support.
  • Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage a large caseload and prioritise your work.

Responsibilities

12-month fixed term contract
