Accountable-Recruitment is seeking a Payroll Specialist in St Helens to manage end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely payments while maintaining compliance with UK legislation.

You will handle starters, leavers, deductions, bonuses and statutory payments, using payroll software and Excel, with a strong eye for detail and confidentiality. The role includes year-end processes and responsive support to payroll queries.

Responsibilities

  • Process monthly/weekly payroll accurately and efficiently.
  • Manage starters, leavers, changes to pay, deductions, bonuses and other payroll adjustments.
  • Calculate statutory payments, including sick pay, maternity and other applicable payments.
  • Ensure accurate processing of PAYE, National Insurance and pension contributions.
  • Complete payroll reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
  • Prepare payroll reports and provide information to relevant internal teams.
  • Maintain accurate employee payroll records.
  • Respond to payroll queries from employees in a professional and timely manner.
  • Stay up to date with changes in payroll legislation and regulations.
  • Support with year-end payroll processes and reporting.

Payroll Specialist

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join a successful business. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong understanding of payroll processes who takes pride in delivering accurate and timely payroll services.

The Role

As Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining compliance with relevant legislation and company policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process monthly/weekly payroll accurately and efficiently.
  • Manage starters, leavers, changes to pay, deductions, bonuses and other payroll adjustments.

Payroll qualifications such as CIPP are desirable but not essential.
