Job summary

A professional services firm is looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist for a permanent role in London. This hybrid position involves overseeing the payroll processes for UK and overseas employees, ensuring compliance with all relevant obligations, and serving as a key point of contact for payroll queries. The ideal candidate will have extensive payroll experience, strong analytical abilities, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years' payroll experience ideally within a professional services firm.
  • Internal accounts and reconciliation experience.
  • Some ex-pat/in-pat experience required.

Payroll Specialist - Permanent - London - Hybrid - up to £65,000 per annum


Oakleaf Partnership is delighted to be partnered with a professional services firm, looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist, on a permanent basis. This role will be responsible for the BAU of the UK & oversea payrolls, and is on a hybrid basis, based in their central London office.


The Payroll Specialist will be assisting/overseeing duties such as:

  • Process all new joiners and leavers on the payroll system
  • Preparation of the monthly employee payroll in accordance with statutory and contractual obligations, including SMP and SSP, etc
  • Support the International Payroll Specialist with processing overseas payrolls
  • Liaison with Tax & Partnership Department on matters relating to in-pat and ex-pat employees
  • Deal with any UK payroll queries
  • Preparation of payments and associated reconciliations for Partners, employees and third parties, where applicable
  • Preparation of pension scheme data for the firm's pension advisers, pension scheme provider



Key Skills:

  • 5+ years' payroll experience ideally within a professional services firm.
  • Internal accounts and reconciliation experience.
  • Some ex-pat/in-pat experience required.
  • Analytically driven and responsible for creating innovative solutions to support the business
  • Excellent communication skills
