Job summary

The Portfolio Group is recruiting for a Payroll Senior position based in Ipswich for a permanent role with flexible hours (3 days part-time or 5 days full-time). You will manage end-to-end payroll and auto enrolment for a client portfolio, build client relationships, and support the team with payroll compliance and queries.

Ideal candidates have >2 years' payroll experience (bureau experience preferred) and are adept at pension and benefits processing, with strong accuracy and communication

Qualifications

• Over two years' payroll experience in a bureau environment is highly desirable.
• Experience with end-to-end payroll including pensions, benefits and statutory payments.
• Ability to manually calculate payroll with high accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll and auto enrolment compliance for a portfolio of clients.
• Provide regular training to the wider team on legislation and systems.
• Peer check payrolls to ensure accuracy.
• Develop relationships with clients, HMRC and third-party providers.
• Streamline processes and maintain payroll records/files.
• Be the first point of contact to assist and respond to queries from clients and HMRC.
