Job summary

Portfolio Payroll Limited is seeking a Payroll Senior to join their Ipswich office on a permanent basis. The role offers either a 3-day part-time or 5-day full-time basis, providing flexibility for the right candidate.

You will manage end-to-end payroll for a portfolio of clients, including auto-enrolment compliance, pensions, and statutory payments, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and client communication.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of payroll experience, preferably in a bureau.
• End-to-end payroll processing including pensions, benefits, and statutory payments.
• Strong accuracy and attention to detail in manual and system-based work.
• Able to coordinate and multitask with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication by telephone and email with clients and HMRC where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll processing for a portfolio of clients.
• Ensure auto enrolment compliance for client payrolls.
• Peer check of payroll runs to ensure accuracy.
• Develop relationships with clients and communicate with wider offices, HMRC and third-party providers as needed.
• Streamline current processes and maintain payroll records/files.
• Be the first point of contact to respond to queries from clients, HMRC and providers.
