Job summary

Retail Human Resources plc seeks an experienced Payroll Implementation Recovery Project Manager for an immediate-start, Liverpool-based temporary contract. The role focuses on stabilising a live payroll programme, driving issue resolution and restoring confidence across the business.

You will conduct discovery, lead root-cause analysis, and coordinate technical, payroll operations and training workstreams, ensuring a smooth transition to BAU once stabilisation is achieved.

Qualifications

• Extensive project management experience delivering payroll, HRIS or ERP programmes.
• Experience in implementation recovery, stabilisation or post-go-live remediation.
• Strong stakeholder management across technical and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Assess current state and validate issues, risks and impacts.
• Lead root cause analysis across technology, processes and change.
• Develop and mobilise a prioritised recovery roadmap with milestones.
• Coordinate multiple workstreams including technical, payroll operations and training.
• Establish governance, RAID management and escalation processes.
• Support transition to a stable BAU operating model.
