Legal & General (L&G) is recruiting a Customer Payroll Reconciliation Specialist to join our Retail Annuities team. The role ensures customers are paid correctly and on time, while supporting regulatory reporting and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience with large volume pension or payroll reconciliations.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data.
• Collaborative approach and ability to work across teams.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes.
• Strong communication skills to explain complex issues clearly.
• Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with reconciliation tools/systems.
• Knowledge of payroll processes and regulatory frameworks (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Analysing data and investigating anomalies to ensure accurate customer records.
• Supporting compliance with regulatory and internal processes including GDPR, payroll legislation, and financial reporting.
• Using reconciliation knowledge to provide input across teams and guide decisions.
• Maintaining accurate records and tracking case progress using spreadsheets and internal systems.
• Participating in user testing and supporting system changes to ensure accurate payments and reporting.
• Embedding conduct risk principles to deliver good customer outcomes.
• Identifying opportunities to improve processes and enhance the customer journey.
• Providing cover for reconciliation tasks during team absences to maintain service continuity.
