Job summary

Townends Accountants LLP in Goole is seeking a dedicated payroll assistant to join our busy Payroll Bureau. You will process payrolls from gross to net, handle HMRC submissions, and liaise directly with clients to resolve queries while meeting tight deadlines.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of payroll experience, understanding Auto Enrolment, and strong attention to detail. This full-time role offers a contributory pension, life insurance, 25 days of annual leave plus bank

Qualifications

• You will have a minimum of a year’s previous experience in Payroll and knowledge of associated tasks.
• Understanding of Auto Enrolment and payroll compliance.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in processing payrolls.

Responsibilities

• Processing payrolls, gross to net.
• Processing HMRC submissions.
• Calculation of statutory payments.
• Liaising directly with clients to resolve queries.
• Resolving queries and providing general support.
• Working towards tight deadlines.
• Sending BACS transmissions.
• Preparation of P45s and P60s.
