Townends Accountants LLP in Goole is seeking a Payroll Manager to lead the Payroll Bureau. You will manage the payroll team and ensure delivery of an exceptional service across multiple payrolls.

You will handle billing, debt chasing, and direct client liaison, resolving queries and providing high-quality support. The role offers a competitive salary, pension, flexitime, and a modern, friendly office with parking nearby.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar payroll management role.
• Up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation and tax obligations.
• Familiarity with Payrite Software preferred.
• Experience with AE pensions, CIS, BACS, year-end procedures.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and staff supervision.

Responsabilités

• Lead the payroll team and deliver a high-level payroll service.
• Process multiple payrolls and related operations, including billing and debt chasing.
• Liaise directly with clients to resolve queries and provide support.
• Ensure accuracy and timely year-end reporting.
