Job summary

Portfolio Payroll Limited is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to handle end-to-end payroll processing in a public sector environment, working within a large team.

The role covers 1500 employees across 12 payrolls, uses I-Trent (desirable), and offers 37 hour weeks with one day in the office and the rest home-based. Immediate start with ongoing contract and potential permanent transfer.

Qualifications

• End-to-end payroll processing experience.
• Experience working in the public sector payroll.
• Ability to work in a large payroll team.
• Desirable: experience with I-Trent system.

Responsibilities

• Process end-to-end payroll for 1500 employees across 12 payrolls.
• Support public sector payroll operations.
• Collaborate within a team of 15 payroll staff led by a head of department and team leaders.

This role consists of someone that can come in and hit the ground running whilst being able to process high end-to-end payroll. Working within a large team of 15 people.

• Payroll Officer - covering end to end payroll

• System: I-Trent (desirable)
• Monday - Friday 37 hours a week
• 1 day a week in the office rest home based (flexible) Wednesday.
• Duration: Ongoing as its covering sick, there is the potential for it to go perm
• Interview: 1 stage and will be over teams
• Team:15 in the payroll, Head of ,Dep head, System admin,3 team leaders , 8 payroll officers.
• The vetting will take around 1-2 monthsThey are looking for someone asap
• Hourly Rate: 17.42
