Job summary

Portfolio Payroll Limited is seeking a Payroll Supervisor to take ownership of payroll processing for stores and head office, with hands-on involvement in onboarding, records management, and day-to-day HR queries. The role covers end-to-end UK & Ireland payroll alongside outsourcing EMEA payroll to a bureau across six countries.

The ideal candidate has prior team management experience, a strong pensions background, solid knowledge of payroll legislation, and meticulous attention to detail.

• Previous experience managing a team.

• A good understanding of payroll legislation and best practice.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Preferred experience with the Moorepay payroll system.
• Expert in end–to–end payroll.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately and on schedule for all employees.
• Manage payroll changes including new starters, leavers, and contract amendments.
• Ensure compliance with HMRC legislation, pensions, and statutory payments.
• Reconcile payroll reports and liaise with Finance for payment approvals.
• Maintain employee records in the Moorepay Payroll system and ensure data accuracy.
• Outsourcing EMEA payroll to a bureau provider for 6 different countries

About the Role

As a Payroll Supervisor, you'll take ownership of processing for stores and head office teams. You'll also get hands–on exposure to a variety of duties – from onboarding and employee record management to supporting day–to–day HR queries. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to handle end to end payroll in the UK and Ireland whilst in conjunction with outsourcing the EMEA payrolls for the business.
