Job summary

W Talent Finance is recruiting a Payroll Manager to lead a team delivering payroll services for a diverse client portfolio. You will manage workloads, ensure timely payroll processing and maintain compliance across multiple pay frequencies.

The role requires experience in an accountancy practice, strong Excel skills and knowledge of NHS pension schemes. Exeter-based with flexible location and strong development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Solid payroll knowledge with senior payroll responsibilities.
• Experience managing or leading a payroll team.
• Experience within an accountancy practice.
• Strong understanding of payroll processes, legislation and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and support a team of Payroll Advisors and Seniors.
• Allocate workloads and ensure deadlines during peak periods.
• Oversee payroll reporting and RTI submissions.
• Manage client payrolls across multiple frequencies.
• Set up payroll, CIS and pension schemes for new and existing clients.
• Prepare payroll calculations including holiday pay and statutory payments.
