Willis Aviation Services Limited (WASL) is hiring a Payroll Manager to lead our in-house payroll operations across Teesside and Bridgend. You will ensure accurate, compliant payroll delivery, while identifying opportunities to improve processes and support growth.

You’ll collaborate with Finance, HR and stakeholders in the UK and USA, leveraging ADP as our payroll system. The role requires end-to-end payroll experience, UK legislation knowledge, and strong Excel skills, with the ability to

Qualifications

• Experience in a payroll-specific role with end-to-end payroll responsibility.
• Experience managing payroll across one or multiple sites.
• Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation and statutory requirements.
• Proactive, self-motivated approach with ability to implement best practice.
• High integrity and discretion when handling confidential information.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and ability to work with payroll data and reconciliations.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills with attention to detail.
• Experience working with external payroll providers; ADP experience advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Manage the end-to-end monthly payroll process with robust checks before payments.
• Ensure accurate calculation of tax, statutory deductions, benefits and pension contributions under UK law.
• Maintain HMRC compliance including P45s, P60s, and P11Ds.
• Oversee pension and benefits adjustments with timely payment information.
• Review and improve payroll processes, controls and routines for efficiency.
• Act as main point of contact for employee payroll queries and escalation as needed.
• Maintain relationship with external payroll provider ADP.
• Support annual audits and internal reviews with accurate payroll data.
• Help develop payroll operations as the business grows across UK and international sites.
