Job summary

Weatherbys Ltd in Wellingborough is seeking a Payroll Manager on a six-month fixed-term contract with hybrid working and immediate start. You will oversee the Weatherbys Group payroll bureau, delivering payroll across UK, Ireland and Australia.

The role sits within Weatherbys Ltd and collaborates with Finance and HR teams across Weatherbys, including Weatherbys Bank and Arkle Finance. You will ensure payroll delivery across multiple entities and processing cycles in a complex environment.

Qualifications

• At least two years payroll experience.
• Proficient in payroll systems and Excel.
• Experience with HMRC submissions and pensions auto-enrolment.

Responsibilities

• Manage accurate and timely payrolls across UK, Ireland and Australia.
• Complete HMRC submissions, P11Ds and pension auto-enrolment processes.
• Oversee private payrolls with support from the Management Accountant.
• Provide payroll reporting and support audits.
• Maintain payroll procedures and respond to employee queries.
• Identify payroll risks, process improvements and legislative changes.

Payroll Manager

Wellingborough | Hybrid working | Six-month fixed-term contract | Immediate Start

If you're an experienced payroll professional who can quickly take ownership of a varied payroll operation, this six-month contract offers plenty of scope. You'll manage the Weatherbys Group payroll bureau, supporting businesses across the UK, Ireland and Australia.

This role sits within Weatherbys Ltd and works closely with Finance and HR colleagues across the wider Weatherbys organisation, including Weatherbys Bank and Arkle Finance. You will oversee payroll delivery across multiple employing entities, systems and processing cycles, so this will suit an experienced payroll professional who can quickly take ownership and work confidently in a complex environment.

What you'll be doing

• Managing accurate and timely payrolls across the UK, Ireland and Australia
• Completing HMRC submissions, P11Ds and pension auto-enrolment processes
• Overseeing private payrolls with support from the Management Accountant
• Providing payroll reporting and supporting audits
• Maintaining payroll procedures and responding to employee queries
• Identifying payroll risks, process improvements and legislative changes

What you'll need

• At least two years payroll experience

• Strong payroll systems knowledge (ideally to include Cascade)
• Good Excel skills and experience of detailed reconciliations
• The ability to work accurately within tight processing deadlines
• Clear communication skills and confidence dealing with HMRC, auditors and internal stakeholders
• An inquisitive approach with strong attention to detail
