Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to oversee the end-to-end payroll process and ensure employees are paid accurately and on time. The Payroll Manager will be responsible for managing payroll operations, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, maintaining accurate payroll records, and providing payroll-related support to employees and management.

The successful candidate will have strong payroll knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage confidential information in a fast-paced environment.

Key Requirements

• Proven experience in a payroll management or senior payroll position.
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, PAYE, National Insurance, pensions, and statutory requirements.
• Experience managing end-to-end payroll processes.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Experience using payroll and HR systems.
• Experience using Workday is desirable but not essential.
• Strong Excel skills, including the ability to analyse and reconcile payroll data.
• Excellent interpersonal and people skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships with employees, managers, HR, Finance, and external stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain payroll information clearly and professionally.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to work to strict payroll deadlines.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a wider team.
