Job summary

Alexander Lloyd are partnering with a rapidly expanding technology business to recruit a Payroll Manager on a 12-month FTC. The role covers leading the group payroll, four payrolls and multiple pension schemes, with a direct report and two office days per week in the UK.

The candidate will drive payroll compliance, salary sacrifice schemes and annual HR payroll processes. The successful applicant will have CIPP or equivalent qualification, extensive payroll experience for large workforces and

Qualifications

• CIPP qualified or equivalent experience (QBE).
• Extensive payroll experience for 500–1200 employees.
• Hands-on with PAYE, P11Ds and BIC reporting.
• Notice period up to 1 month maximum.
• Able to attend the office 2 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the group payroll function to deliver accurate, timely and compliant payroll services.
• Manage four payrolls, multiple pension schemes and payroll-related benefits and compliance.
• Coach and develop the Payroll & Benefits Officer and manage workloads.
• Ensure PAYE, National Insurance, pension legislation and HMRC obligations are met.
• Oversee year-end activities including P60s, P11Ds and benefits in kind reporting.
• Administer salary sacrifice and other employee benefits effectively.

Alexander Lloyd are proud to be partnering with a rapidly expanding technology business to recruit a Payroll Manager initially on a 12 month FTC.

This is initially a 12-month FTC. 2 days PW in the office managing 1 direct report. Reporting into the Finance manager.

Duties Will include but not be limited too:

• To lead and develop the Group payroll function, ensuring the accurate, timely and compliant delivery of payroll services across the business
• Responsible for four payrolls, multiple pension schemes, payroll-related employee benefits, payroll compliance, controls, reporting and continuous improvement
• Lead, coach and develop the Payroll & Benefits Officer, ensuring workloads are appropriately managed and service standards are achieved
• Ensure compliance with PAYE, National Insurance, statutory payments, pension legislation, auto-enrolment requirements and all associated HMRC obligations.
• Manage multiple pension schemes, ensuring pensionable pay, employee deductions, employer contributions and statutory requirements are administered accurately.
• Own payroll controls, reconciliations and audit processes, ensuring payroll information is accurate, complete and appropriately documented.
• Manage all year-end payroll activities including P60s, P11Ds, Benefits-in-Kind reporting and pension re-enrolment activities.
• Ensure salary sacrifice and benefit schemes are administered effectively, including electric vehicle schemes, private medical insurance, cycle-to-work schemes and other employee benefits.

You will have the following skill set

• CIPP Qualified or QBE
• Extensive all round Payroll experience within businesses of 500-1200 employees
• Paye, P11ds, BIC
• On a maximum of 1 month notice
• Ability to get to the office 2 days PW
