Job summary

Reed is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to own payroll across a growing multi-entity business. This hands-on role leads payroll operations, drives process improvements, supports acquisitions and guides a forthcoming payroll system migration.

Hybrid working and long-term career prospects are offered. The role requires end-to-end payroll management, strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, and experience with payroll systems.

Qualifications

• Experience with managing payroll across multi-entity organisations.
• Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation including RTI, pensions, P60s and P11Ds.
• Experience with payroll systems and process improvements.

Payroll Manager

We're recruiting for an experienced Payroll Manager to take ownership of payroll across a growing multi-entity business. This is a hands-on role offering the opportunity to lead payroll operations, drive process improvements, support acquisitions and play a key role in an upcoming payroll system migration.

The Role

• Manage end-to-end payroll across multiple entities and PAYE schemes.
• Ensure full compliance with HMRC, RTI, pensions and statutory requirements.
• Lead payroll reconciliations, year-end processes and benefits administration.
• Support payroll system development and future migration projects.
• Act as the payroll SME across the business.
• Manage and develop a small payroll team.
• Support the integration of newly acquired businesses into the group payroll structure.

About You

• Proven experience managing payroll within a multi-entity environment.
• Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, pensions, RTI, P60s and P11Ds.
• Experience with payroll systems, process improvements and payroll projects.
• Confident working with senior stakeholders, HMRC and external providers.
• Previous team leadership experience.
• CIPP qualification or equivalent desirable.
